Pilgrim Creek Road is a wonderful area to get off the main road to have flowers in the foreground with the mountains in the background.

Snow melts gradually, leaving valley trails snow-free by mid-June, canyon trails by late July. Trailhead parking gets full so plan to start hiking early.
