Lamar Valley

This area is home to all of the largest Yellowstone mammals: bison, elk, moose, pronghorn, black bears, grizzly bears, and wolves.

Hayden Valley

This area includes sheer cliffs and rock formations which makes it perfect for bighorn sheep and deer. It's also a terrific area to see black bears!


You’ll see elk in the Mammoth Hot Springs town and around the area year-round. Black and grizzly bears frequent the area as well.
