Yellowstone visitation is low in January to March. Temperatures average highs around 30 and lows around 3 degrees F.  Services are limited but it's an ideal time for winter activites.

Yellowstone visitation is low to moderate in April. Temperatures average highs around 39 and lows around 10 degrees F.  Services are still limited and wildlife is active.

Yellowstone visitation is moderate to high this time of year. Temperatures average highs around 53 and lows around 28 degrees F.  Services are open and wildlife is at its peak.

Yellowstone visitation in summer months is high. Temperatures average highs in the 70s and lows in the high 30s degrees F. The park is crowded but park colors are at their peak.

Yellowstone visitation in Fall months is moderate to high. Temperatures average highs in the low 60s and lows in the 20s degrees F. The park is crowded but park colors are at their peak.

Yellowstone visitation is low in these months. Temperatures average highs in the low 30s and lows under 10 degrees F. Winter weather is in effect with limited access and facilities.
