Spring weather will vary from month to month. Prepare for all types of weather. March: Highs 55 / Lows 31 F April: Highs 64 / Lows 37 F May: Highs 73 / Lows 46 F

A great way to learn about activities in the park, and the park itself is through Ranger-led programs.  The Visitor Center is a great source about road and weather conditions in the park.

The Capitol Reef Scenic Drive is about 8 miles long.  The main drive is a paved road suitable for passenger vehicles. There are dirt spur roads that are accessible to passenger cars as well.  There may be closures for weather conditions.

The Fruita District is the heart of the park.  There is amazing Geology, Historic Structures, and Fruit Orchards.

Hikes in the Spring are a great way to experience the park.  There are well marked easy, moderate and strenuous hiking trails.
