Visitor's Centers in Canyonlands in December

In winter, Needles Visitor Center is closed. There is a pay phone and rangers on duty. Water is only available at the Visitor Center. 

Scenic Drives in Canyonlands in December

Island in the Sky Scenic Drive may close for snow storms. If there is snow, and the road is open, you’ll love seeing the white snow against the red rock canyons!

If snow's on the ground, you may need snowshoes along the Island in the Sky and Needles hikes. When the trails become icy, you may need traction devices for your shoes.
