Visiting Yellowstone in June

June is one of the best times to visit Yellowstone National Park because all park roads are open and most of the services and campgrounds will be open by the end of the month.

Visitation numbers in June are moderate to high so be prepared for crowds during the day. We always recommend entering the park early in the morning, or even later in the afternoon.

The Yellowstone National Park weather in June can still be unpredictable, and it might even snow! The average temperatures in June at Yellowstone are highs near 70 and lows near 41 degrees Fahrenheit.

June is one of the best times to see and take pictures of all the Yellowstone waterfalls. The rivers and waterfalls at Yellowstone in the spring are full and raging from the snow runoff.
