Zion National Park Scenic Drives

There are four Zion National Park Scenic Drives.  The landscape and views along each scenic drive are breathtaking and unique.

Zion National Park is open all year long, and every day in the summer months of June, July, and August. Zion is the most-visited Utah National Park to explore and photograph the colorful cliffs and canyons.

There are four scenic drives in various parts of Zion National Park: - Zion Canyon - Mt. Carmel Scenic   Byway - Kolob Canyons - Kolob Terrace

Zion Canyon is the hub of the park.  Most of the year it is accessible by the Zion National Park Shuttle Bus. There are many points of interest and hikes in Zion Canyon.

Zion Canyon Scenic Drive

This stretch of road from Springdale to the Mt. Carmel Junction is definitely a scenic drive. This section of road never closes and you can access it in your personal vehicle.

Mt. Carmel Scenic Drive

This scenic drive is another beautiful area that starts near the town of Virgin.   It's generally not as crowded as other parts of Zion.

Kolob Terrace Scenic Drive

This scenic drive is located 40 miles north of Zion Canyon. It's a five mile drive that accesses the northwest corner of Zion National Park.
