WHAT TO PACK FOR ZION NATIONAL PARK

Visiting Zion National Park in Winter

Winter is our favorite time of year to visit Zion National Park, primarily because we can avoid the crowds and heat. It will likely be cold, and it may be snowy, but weather preperation will make winter a terrific time to visit Zion!

Zion National Park Shuttles are running March through November, weekends in February, and the week between major holidays in December.

Does the Zion Shuttle run in Winter?

Winter in Zion means cooler days and cold nights. Highs in degrees Fahrenheit are often in the 40s and 50s.  Lows are in the 20s and teens.

Winter temperatures at Zion will be cooler but still pleasant enough for outdoor activities. When hiking prepare for cold morning and evening temperatures, and warming during the day.
