This workshop is much more than a photography tour. We focus on helping participants create the most appealing compositions of each location we visit.

Dave is present to aid in the field and teach his techniques for landscape photography:

• Image composition – perspective, angles, look all around

• Lighting conditions throughout the day

• Technical functions – exposure, depth of field, histograms, HDR

Our goal is to explore the most scenic locations during the best light and challenge you to develop your own personal vision and take your photography to the next level while having fun!

Group Size – 6 People

Our photography workshops are limited to 6 participants. A small group size ensures each person will have ample one-on-one instruction. We can also react quickly to changing conditions and scout interesting locations.

Fitness Level – Easy to Moderate

This workshop does involve some trail hiking and elevation gain to arrive at certain locations, while other locations are just beyond the parking lot. The elevation range in the Moab area is 5,500 to 7,000 ft. The longest trail is about 1.5 miles each way.  Participants should consult with their doctor before attending our workshop or venturing to higher elevations.
