We live only a few hours from Grand Teton and get the chance to visit often. Our list of hotels is based on our experiences staying in a variety of lodging options over the years.
Grand Teton National Park is open year-round, but hotels and services inside the park close for the winter. If you plan on doing winter snow activities in the park, you’ll need to find a hotel in Jackson.

Jackson Lake Lodge Hotel Rooms
Jackson Lake Lodge is a full-service resort hotel located in the heart of Grand Teton National Park. There are 348 guest cottage rooms and 37 guest rooms in main lodge. Each room has two double beds. Open Mid-May to early-October.
Jenny Lake Lodge Cabins
Jenny Lake Lodge consists of 37 adjoining cabins in the forest adjacent to Jenny and String Lakes. Open early-June to early-October.
Signal Mountain Lodge Rooms and Cabins
Signal Mountain Lodge has lakefront apartments with kitchenettes and log cabins (some with a fireplace). The lodge is next to Jackson Lake near the marina. Open early-May to mid-October.
Colter Bay Cabins
Colter Bay Village Cabins are located near the shores of Jackson Lake. There are a variety of lodging options from snug log cabins to tent-cabins. Open late-May to late-September.
Headwaters Lodge & Cabins at Flagg Ranch
Headwaters Lodge at Flagg Ranch offers log style units, each with two queen beds or one king bed. There are also camper cabins and a campground. Open early-June to late-September.

Elk Refuge Inn – our favorite place to stay!
- Located across from the National Elk Refuge – one of the closest hotels to Grand Teton
- Scenic views from every room – balcony views from some rooms
- Cable TV, microwave, mini-fridge & free wi-fi
- Kitchenette suites and one 1 Bedroom Apartment available
Flat Creek Inn – if we can’t get a room at the Elk Refuge Inn, we stay here!
- Located across from the National Elk Refuge – technically it IS the closest hotel to Grand Teton
- Scenic views from every room
- Cable TV, microwave, mini-fridge & free wi-fi
- Kitchenette suites available
Elk Country Inn – awesome property if you want to be in town. We really enjoyed our stay in the Colter King Cabin!
- Hotel rooms with Cable TV, microwave, mini-fridge & free wi-fi – some rooms on the upper floor do NOT have elevator access!
- Some rooms are pet friendly
- Colter cabins include kitchenettes
Mountain Modern Motel – boutique motel with easy walking distance to shops and restaurants! We liked that everything was new and modern plus cool onsite amenities. The only downside was finding a parking space when we were out late!
- Condo-style suites with kitchens, living spaces, and fireplace
- Bunk rooms are perfect for families or a group of friends
- Amenities include: Indoor pool, hot tub, 2 onsite restaurants, laundry facilities, onsite salon
Rustic Inn Creekside Resort & Spa – we haven’t stayed here YET, but it’s on our list!!
- Private elevated deck or covered patio for every guestroom
- Private veranda for every cabin
- Cable TV, microwave, mini-fridge & free wi-fi
- PLUS double pillow top mattresses, fine linens, bathrobes, spa bathroom with a rain shower, and a fireplace!
- Resort amenities include: butler service, daily cook-to-order breakfast, seasonal fire pits, outdoor hot tub, access to steam room & sauna, locally sourced mini bars
