Yellowstone National Park Hotels and Lodging

Yellowstone has a variety of different seasonal lodging options for guests to enjoy. Always check the NPS website for the most current lodging information and rates.

Opening and closing dates for Yellowstone hotels, lodges, and cabins in the park change each year and are subject to change.

Yellowstone Hotels and Cabins in the Summer

You’ll find hotel rooms and cabins available for Yellowstone lodging in the summer:

Canyon Lodge Hotel – 500+ hotel rooms and cabins located near the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Open mid-May to the end of October.

Grant Village Hotel – 50 hotel rooms with no elevators located in Grant Village. Open the end of May to the beginning of October.

Lake Yellowstone Hotel – choose from suites, lakeside hotel rooms, deluxe hotel rooms, standard lodge rooms (no elevator), or cabins. Open mid-May to the beginning of October.

Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel – choose from suites or deluxe hotel rooms in addition to hot tub cabins or other cabins with communal bathrooms. Open mid-May to the end of October.

Old Faithful Inn – this historic Yellowstone landmark offers suites with Geyser Basin views, junior suites with no view, hotel rooms with Geyser Basin views, deluxe and standard hotel rooms with no view. There are also Old House hotel rooms with a full bath and other rooms without a bathroom so guests use communal bathrooms. Open early May to early October.

Old Faithful Snow Lodge Hotel – enjoy your stay in a deluxe lodge room or cabins with private bathrooms. Open mid-April to the end of October.

Lake Lodge Cabins – 180+ cabins located behind the lodge. Open mid-June to the beginning of October.

Old Faithful Lodge Cabins – there are Frontier Cabins that include a bathroom and other cabins without a bathroom so guests use communal bathrooms. Open mid-May to early October.

Roosevelt Lodge Cabins – there are Frontier Cabins that include a bathroom and other cabins without a bathroom so guests use communal bathrooms. Open early June to early September.

Yellowstone Hotels and Cabins in the Winter

You’ll find hotel rooms and cabins available for Yellowstone winter lodging:

Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel & Cabins – the suites, deluxe room and hot tub cabins are open in the winter from mid-December to the beginning of March. You can access Mammoth with your vehicle from the Yellowstone North Entrance in Gardiner, Montana in the winter.

Old Faithful Snow Lodge & Cabins – the deluxe lodge room and frontier cabins are open in the winter from mid-December to the beginning of March. You will need to arrange Yellowstone snowcoach transportation to and from the Old Faithful Snow Lodge in the winter!!

Hotels in West Yellowstone

You’ll find the most variety of hotels in the town of West Yellowstone. We have stayed here in the spring, summer, fall and winter and recommend these hotels:

Hotels in in Gardiner

Gardiner, Montana is located near the North Entrance of Yellowstone. This fun town is our favorite location when we want to get away from the tourist crowd! We have stayed here in the spring, summer, fall and winter and recommend these hotels:

Hotels in Cooke City or Silver Gate

If you don’t mind being off the grid, we highly recommend staying near the Northeast Entrance of Yellowstone. This location provides easy access to Lamar Valley and Beartooth Highway! We have stayed here in the spring, summer and fall. The town is open in the winter, but we haven’t had the chance to stay here during the winter yet. We recommend this hotel:

Hotels in Jackson, WY or Grand Teton

There are a variety of Grand Teton National Park lodging options: hotels, lodges, cabins, and camping. You’ll also find the same options in the town of Jackson, Wyoming. We have stayed here in the spring, summer, fall and winter and recommend these hotels:
