Glamping Near Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks

The distance between Zion and Bryce Canyon is 72.4 miles. The drive takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes.

There are really three glamping options to choose for your trip to visit both Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks:

  • Stay near either of the parks and “commute” to see the other park.
  • Stay near one park then travel and stay near the other park.
  • Stay in one of the towns between the two parks.

You’ll need to decide what’s best based on the Utah National Park road trip itinerary you’ve created.

The campgrounds in the park only allow tents and RVs for camping in Zion National Park. Here’s a list of the most popular glamping spots near Zion National Park.

Under Canvas Zion

Just 20 miles from Zion National Park and the town of Springdale you’ll find Under Canvas Zion. It sits on 196 acres of remote desert terrain near Virgin, Utah along the Kolob Terrace Road, one of Zion National Park scenic drives. The desert views of the canyon walls are one of the most popular highlights of this glamping destination. 

At Zion Under Canvas you’ll stay in safari-like tents that feature king-size beds and plush pillows. Amenities include complimentary camp activities, USB battery packs, organic bath products, fire pits, and housekeeping services upon request.

Additionally, the resort offers on-site dining, so glampers do not have to travel far to enjoy a fine meal. Kids and pets are very welcome here.

Open Sky Zion Luxury Camps

One of the most luxurious glamping experiences in Utah is at Open Sky Zion. It is located 15 miles from the Zion National Park entrance, near the Guacamole trailhead outside Virgin.

With more than a dozen amenities, this glamping destination near Zion truly defies the definition of luxury. It is rated 4.0 out of 5 on TripAdvisor. Their five-star “Star Seeker Luxury Camp” offers the most space and several extra amenities. It is perfect for celebrating special occasions and reconnecting with nature.

This camp features a separate sky lounge with a glass ceiling for night viewing. Glampers can enjoy the stars in the Zion sky through a complimentary telescope.

The resort also offers other luxury camps with premium options like an unobstructed view of the nearby valleys and mountains or an additional outdoor shower. Unfortunately, no pets are allowed here.

Zion Wildflower Resort

You’ll find wild canvas glamping and luxury bungalows at Zion Wildflower Resort in Virgin, Utah near Zion National Park. Luxury accommodations at the resort are equipped with amenities such as air conditioning, feather-top beds, and modern bathrooms. 

This resort offers a wide range of accommodations for an unforgettable Zion glamping experience, including canvas tents, which are always a romantic option, or covered wagons, which are ideal for family vacations.

Located near the East Entrance of the park along Highway 9 is Zion Ponderosa Ranch. It’s a 4,000-acre, full-service, multi-night destination near Zion National Park.

The property offers eight accommodation options: vacation homes, cabin suites, deluxe glamping, Conestoga wagons, cowboy cabins, RV camping, and tent camping. The resort also offers superb dining and recreation. 

Zion Ponderosa Ranch is the place for outdoor enthusiasts seeking to relax and bask in the property’s solitude. The resort has a two-tiered pool, making it stand out among other glamping destinations.

Basic amenities needed for an ultimate glamping experience are provided. The property welcomes leashed pets except in cabins, vacation homes, and glamping tents.

Zion White Basin Resort

Located 15 miles from the park in Virgin you’ll enjoy unique glamping options at Zion White Basin Resort: tipis, covered wagons, and cliff dwellings! They also have RV sites available.

Each Tipi comes with a personal hot tub, an outdoor kitchen that includes a grill, sink, dishwasher, fridge, coffee maker, ice maker, and a fire pit. Inside you’ll enjoy a plush king size bed, walk-in rainfall shower, and indoor bathroom with flushing toilet.

Inside each spacious wagon there is temperature-controlled heat & A/C, private restroom, and plush comfortable beds. Outside you’ll have a personal BBQ or outdoor kitchen and fire-pit. Some wagons have a personal hot tub as well.

The cliff dwelling accommodation is patterned after ancient Anasazi kivas. Each one has a stunning view from your own roof top deck with a private hot tub. The unit also includes a BBQ grill and fire pit, two comfortable queen beds or a single king, private bath, central heating and cooling, kitchenette complete with cookware, microwave, refrigerator, and a two burner cook top.

Glamping Near Bryce Canyon National Park

The campgrounds in the park only allow tents and RVs for Bryce Canyon National Park camping. There is one option for a rustic glamping experience in the park.

The Lodge at Bryce Canyon

The cabins at The Lodge at Bryce Canyon feature a rustic feel to live up to a traditional camping or glamping experience. As part of the lodge’s rustic theme, there is no television on the property. No air conditioning is needed because the climate is comfortable enough for the glampers. Amenities in each room include a microwave, a mini fridge, a clock radio, a hairdryer, a telephone, a thermostat-controlled heat, a coffee maker, and a WiFi connection in the main lodge. This property strictly prohibits cigarette smoking.

Wander Camp Bryce Canyon operates in off-grid accommodations. Through this, glampers will enjoy uninterrupted views of the red rock cliffs, the captivating vistas, and the underrated beauty of nature. However, complimentary solar-powered lanterns and USB-charged fans are provided in each tent.

Experience a unique glamping experience at this family-owned business tucked away in a valley at the foot of Bryce Canyon National Park. This getaway features luxury glamping domes that serve as a unique way to immerse in the beauty of Cannonville, Utah.

Glamping Between Zion and Bryce Canyon

There are a few options for glamping as you travel from Zion National Park to Bryce Canyon and the surrounding areas.

East Zion Resort

If you’re looking for places to stay between Bryce Canyon and Zion, a fun glamping option can be found about 25 miles from the East Entrance of Zion in the small town of Orderville, Utah.

East Zion Resort features glamping options like a yurt, glamping tent, treehouse, or tiny house. All of the units are completely renovated and modernized with luxury finishes.

The resort also features two hot tubs and a pool, which are the highlights of this destination. The heated swimming pool is available from February 28th to December 1st, and the hot tubs are open year-round! The resort does not allow pets in the area.

Apple Hollow Tiny House

Conveniently located in the Zion/Bryce area, this glamping spot is surrounded by 14 acres of apple trees, thus its name. Glampers may enjoy viewing the sunset from the comfort of their own fire pit as the sun sets behind the impressive mountain peaks. In addition, these tiny custom-built houses are situated far enough from the city lights to allow campers to enjoy a night of stargazing. 

Amenities at Apple Hollow Tiny House include potable water, toilets, showers, a kitchen, trash bins, and a WiFi connection. There are no picnic tables here, and pets are not allowed. The area features five cabin sites, allowing up to four guests or two vehicles per site.

Soaring Hawk Tipi

This unique tipi glamping spot is located 30 minutes from Bryce Canyon in Panguitch, Utah. The area offers spectacular 360 views of the property. It features a 20-foot tent-like canvas structure that can accommodate up to four glampers. The area features three tipis on this camping site with an individual outhouse, picnic bench, barbecue grill, and parking space. The tipis are located approximately 300 feet apart on floating wood decks. 

At Soaring Hawk Tipi each tipi you will find throw pillows, sleeping cots, backrest chairs, and colorful wool rugs. It comes with six communal sleeping bags (washed at the beginning of each season), a communal bin, and an aloha bin (containing items for glampers to use, like flashlights, lanterns, first aid kits, and fire extinguishers). No potable water is available in the tipi site, and no electricity, but the cellular signal is strong.

Basecamp 37°

Looking for a location surrounded by National and State Parks, but off the grid? Check out Basecamp 37°, a tourist favorite because of its charm! This glamping destination is located 8 miles east of Kanab, Utah.

It is spacious, secluded and gives off a feel-good atmosphere. Accommodations offered are five safari-themed tents with luxury beds and linens and hot showers!

There are only five tents that face the open land, huge vistas, and magical stars. You can’t ask for a better glamping experience!
