The demands for RV campsites within and near Bryce Canyon and Zion are high during spring, summer and fall. Be sure you check the park websites to get the most updated pricing and reservation information when planning your trip.
Bryce Canyon has two campgrounds that allow RV camping. Zion also has two campgrounds available for RVs. During the winter, you’ll only find one campground open at each park.

RV Parks Near Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks
Bryce Canyon and Zion National Parks are two of the most visited Utah National Parks. The demands for RV campsites within and near the two parks are high during spring, summer and fall.
There are two campgrounds that allow RV camping at Bryce Canyon, and two at Zion. If you want to do winter camping at Bryce Canyon or Zion, each park only has one campground open during the winter months.
Be sure to visit the National Park websites for the most updated pricing, open and close dates, and information for RV camping at Bryce Canyon or Zion. Here’s the basic information for each park.
Bryce Canyon National Park RV Camping
This majestic park provides several campgrounds that are RV-friendly, ensuring you have all the necessary amenities at your disposal. From hookups for water, electricity, and sewer to communal fire pits, picnic tables, restrooms, and shower facilities, Bryce Canyon National Park makes RV camping comfortable and convenient.
Bryce Canyon North Campground
North Campground is close to the visitor center and general store with easy access to the Rim Trail. The North Campground is open all-year-round, but if you plan to do any Bryce Canyon winter camping, some amenities may not be available like firewood, ice, and laundry.
There are 100 total sites along 4 loops. Loops A & B are primarily for RVs over 20 ft. North Campground requires reservations through Recreation.gov from May 27 to October 1. From October 2 to May 26 all sites are first-come, first-served.
Keep in mind there are no sewer, water or electrical hook-ups at this campground. There is a dump station available during the summer months. Generators are permitted from 8 am to 10 am and 6 pm to 8 pm.
Bryce Canyon Sunset Campground
Sunset Campground offers 100 sites with three different loops labeled A, B, & C and have specific camping requirements for each one. Loop A is specifically for RV vehicles over 20 ft, while tent campers can make reservations in Loop B & Loop C. There are two ADA accessible site along Loop A.
It’s important to note that Sunset Campground does not offer RV electrical hookups, water or sewer. In the summer months you can use the dump station near the North Campground.
Sunset Campground is closer to the main road than North Campground which can cause a bit of traffic noise. It’s not overly loud, but good to know in advance.
This campground is open April 15th – October 31st. It has 98 first-come, first-served sites and 3 reservable sites through Recreation.gov.
There is firewood, ice, and laundry available when open during the seasonal months of the year. Generators are permitted from 8 am to 10 am and 6 pm to 8 pm.
Zion National Park RV Camping
There are two campgrounds at Zion National Park that allow RVs: Watchman Campground and South Campground. RV camping at Zion is only permitted in the campground designated campsites. You cannot stop and camp in pullouts or parking lots.
Important Note: It’s popular to rent an RV and have it delivered to Zion National Park. YOU must make sure the individual or business you are renting from has a valid permit to do business at Zion! If you rent from a person or business that doesn’t have a Commercial Use Authorization (CUA) with the park, the RV may be turned away upon delivery and you’ll be left with no accommodations.
From March through mid-November, the park-wide camping limit is 14 nights. An additional 30 nights is permitted the rest of the year. These limits apply to all park campgrounds.
Zion Watchman Campground
Watchman Campground is next to the Zion Canyon Visitor Center. It’s about a quarter of a mile from the South Entrance of Zion in Springdale.
This is the only campground at Zion open year-round, but has reduced availability in the winter. All campsites at Watchman Campground require reservations, which may be made six months prior to your arrival date.
You’ll find 65 RV only sites and 95 sites with electric hookups. All sites here include a place for the RV, a picnic table, and fire pit with attached grill. Flush toilets, dump station, cold running drinkable water, trash containers, and cell phone reception are available year-round. There are no showers, full-hookup campsites, electrical outlets, internet connectivity, laundry or store on site. (All services are available in Springdale, Utah, one half-mile away.)
Zion South Campground
South Campground is near the Zion Canyon Visitor Center. It’s about one-half mile from the South Entrance of Zion in Springdale.
This campground is usually open March through October, and closes in the winter. All campsites at South Campground require reservations, which may be made two weeks prior prior to your arrival date.
There are 105 dry RV sites that all include place for an RV, a picnic table, and a fire ring. Flush toilets, cold running drinkable water, trash containers, dump station, and cell phone reception are available seasonally. Plus no showers, electrical outlets, internet connectivity, laundry or store on site. (All services are available in Springdale, Utah, one half-mile away.)
