When looking for places to visit in Utah in the spring, make sure you know the expected weather you may encounter! Spring weather and temperatures will vary between Northern and Southern Utah. Also the higher elevation temperatures will have more snow and be cooler than the lower elevations by 10 to 20 degrees.

It’s important to know the expected weather forecast and temperatures before visiting any of the Utah National Parks in the spring. You’ll want to pack layers and insulated clothing for early spring in March. April is still unpredictable so be prepared for the conditions for the time you’ll be visiting. By May things warm up and the weather will be “just right”!

When visiting Arches National Park in the spring, it’s important to be prepared for all types of weather. It is not unusual to get rain or even snowfall in March.

What to Pack for Utah Spring Weather

Early Spring: Pack winter clothes for Northern Utah and Bryce Canyon –

Late Spring: A fleece jacket, rain jacket, hat, and gloves should be fine to use during the colder mornings and evenings.
