- Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Moab – our friend’s pick for families
- SpringHill Suites by Marriott Moab
- Aarchway Inn
- Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Moab – we enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel due to its location
Hotels Near Canyonlands Needles
You can visit Needles Canyonlands and stay in Moab, and most people do that. The town of Monticello is a bit closer to Needles, but the lodging, food and shopping options aren’t as good. It’s a much smaller town than Moab. We recommend the Spanish Valley area south of Moab if you plan to visit the Needles district.
- Townhomes south of Moab – townhomes in Spanish Valley with kitchen, washer and dryer in the unit and a swimming pool/hot tub (just a 5 minute drive south of Moab).
- Hotels in Monticello
Hotels Near Capitol Reef National Park
There is no park lodge at Capitol Reef, but there is one campground. You’ll also find some primitive camping, hotels, and vacations rentals near Capitol Reef National Park.
Here’s a list of hotels near Capitol Reef National Park we recommend:
- Capitol Reef Resort – this is where we stay! Make it a unique experience and stay in a teepee or covered wagon!
- Austin’s Chuckwagon Motel – basic rooms and cabins with a deli and store right on the property which is so convenient!
- Broken Spur Inn & Steakhouse – enjoy an up-close view of the unique landscape from every room, or Conestoga wagon, at this location.
- Red Sands Hotel and Spa – guest amenities include a full service spa, yoga room, workout room, laundry, game room, stargazing deck, 24 hour coffee and fruit, fire pit, indoor pool and hot tub.
- The Noor Hotel – rooms with stunning views so close to Capitol Reef! You’ll find standard rooms, suites, and even designated pet rooms!
Hotels Near Zion National Park
There is one lodge and three campgrounds in the Zion National Park boundaries.
Zion Lodge – Staying at the Zion Lodge is something we recommend. When the Zion National Park shuttle is in service, Zion Lodge guests can drive their own vehicle into the canyon which is so nice! It’s located three miles north along the Zion Canyon scenic drive. It has motel rooms, cabins, and suites as well as a gift shop and post office. However, rooms do fill up quickly so reservations are highly recommended.
You’ll find a variety of accommodation options near the park like hotels, resorts, vacation rentals, glamping, RV park and campgrounds.

We recommend hotels near Zion National Park located in the town of Springdale if you don’t stay in the park.
It’s right outside the entrance to Zion which makes it easy to optimize early and late visits to the park without the drive or need to pay for parking at Zion National Park!
- Holiday Inn Express – our favorite place to stay with an outdoor pool and amenities you’d find in a high end hotel
- Quality Inn Springdale at Zion Park
- Best Western Plus Zion Canyon Inn & Suites
- La Quinta Inn & Suites at Zion Park/Springdale – We like the easy access from the parking lot to our room!
- SpringHill Suites by Marriott Springdale Zion National Park
- Hampton Inn & Suites Springdale/Zion National Park – Another favorite hotel that we recommend!
- Driftwood Lodge – Zion National Park – Springdale
You may find hotels in Hurricane with better prices for lodging. But it’s about a 25 minute drive to Zion and you’ll need to worry about the hassle of parking and riding the Zion National Park shuttle to the park entrance. We don’t feel that extra hassle is worth the lower hotel rates.
